Pistol at LPR&GC
Pistol Shooting at LPR&GC is an experience that every shooter should enjoy. The indoor range is a 50 foot, 6 station facility. The range is heated and ventilated. Most handguns can be shot, with the exception of Magnum calibers. All .22 rimfire are welcome. Shooting hours are from 6 AM until 12 Midnight. These hours are strictly enforced and there are no exceptions. We at LPR&GC would like to keep the positive relationship we have with our neighbors.
LPR&GC also offers NRA Basic Pistol and Personal Protection programs to all members at a reasonable fee. Those club members that have completed both courses may continue their training with the action pistol group that meets on Tuesday evenings. A firearm safety and handgun clinic class is also available for club members. For persons new to handguns, the club offers a Fundamentals of Pistol class.
IDPA matches begin at 10am on the fourth Saturday of the month.
The outdoor range is a 50 yard facility that is surrounded on 3 sides by 30 foot berms. There are 12 stations not counting the shotgun bunker which could be used for handguns as well. Shooting outside is an exciting experience for the veteran shooter and the new shooter as well. Shooting hours are governed by the Pennsylvania Hunting Digest (roughly 8 AM till Dusk). Holiday hours begin at 11 AM (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, etc.) |
