NRA Basic Rifle Course

This course provides an introduction to basic rifle marksmanship. Over two evenings and one day the course provides the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. A non-refundable payment of $75 is required in advance to register. Registration begins at the general meeting on February 2nd.

Shooting from positions:
     Bench
     Standing
     Seated
     Kneeling
     Prone

Equipment

Required

  • Eye and ear protection
  • Any rifle in good condition
  • 200 rounds of ammunition

    Optional

  • .22lr rifle for use on the indoor range, 100 rounds of .22lr ammunition. If you do not have a .22lr rifle, one will be provided.
  • Sling

    Session 1: April 12, 15 from 6 to 9 PM and April 17 from 8 AM to 4 PM Session FULL
    Session 2: July 12, 15 from 6 to 9 PM and July 17 from 8 AM to 4 PM 5 Spots FULL
